Hair Care

Dreaming of the day that your hair will finally be luscious and thick? Sick of looking at women wishing you had their hair? Keep reading to find out how you can achieve the best type of hair that makes you feel beautiful and confident.

One thing that I cannot emphasize enough is to STOP using heat on your hair. I learned this the hard way after I would straighten and curl my hair almost every week for a long period of time. Instantly, I noticed a change in my hair from using heat because it became very dry and brittle. The best thing you can do for your hair is to try to give your hair a break and let it air dry after showering. Speaking of showering try to shower with the least amount of hot water as possible. Using hot water in the shower can cause hair to loose moisture making it very dry.

Our hair thrives with moisture. Just like our skin, hair NEEDS moisture. Have you ever wondered why your hair is constantly oily this is because our hair produces oil when it is very dry. So if you have extra oily hair this could be because your hair needs more nutrients or moisture. Shampooing our hair also strips the hair of its naturals oils, which makes hair less shiny and smooth.

It's important to train your hair by shampooing only a few times a week. Try limiting shampooing to 1-2 days a week. Yes, your hair may be insanely oily the first few weeks or months of doing this, but overtime your hair will adapt to only a few showers. In the long run hair should end up looking a lot more healthier.

Another thing you can do if you feel that your hair really needs to be shampooed every day or every other day is to apply coconut, argon, or keratin oil to the hair. You can do this every time after you shower. When I apply this to my hair and let it air dry, I instantly notice a difference in my hair. My hair feels smooth, looks shiny, and is way easier to brush through.

In my opinion, I think it is important to put the least amount of product on the hair. I don't necessarily believe in using products with all the extra chemicals and additives, so I try and find products that are the most natural as possible. You can also make at home hair masks. Below you will be able to find my favorite hair care products that have impacted my hair immensely.

Struggling with hair growth? Trust me were all in the same boat. One word BIOTIN. Not only does it implement hair growth, but it also implements nail growth. Take this for one week, and I promise that your nails will never look better. Biotin is one supplement that I truly believe impacts hair growth. For some it may fluctuate acne, but all skin types are different. I really do recommend this product, and I linked it above!
